Growing up in a small town in New Jersey, Ronnie Kessner was set to head to Chiropractic school when he decided to take the window skateboarding offered.

Fast forward to now and he’s riding for Shane O’neill’s company, April, and working on his own album. Choosing the path of enjoying life and skating with friends is proving to be a good one. Can’t wait to see what’s next.

Age?

24

Location?

Long Beach, CA

Years on board?

Been skating since I could walk, my older brothers had me on a board real early on.

Good tunes?

I’m usually all over the place with music; it’s easy to get caught up in a certain era. Angel Olsen, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Modest Mouse, & Ty Segall are usually in rotation, but lately, Mac Demarco, The Marias, Beach Fossils, & Banes World have been on repeat. Give em a listen!

Speaking of music, you’ve been releasing some songs and have another one dropping soon, right?

Yeah! I put out a single titled „8 weeks“ about two months ago under the name Ronnie K. It’s been a lot of fun recording and learning during the process. I have another one coming out mid-June and a couple more to follow, stoked!

Instrument of choice?

I’d say a good ol‘ Telecaster.

Can’t live without?

Chick-Fil-A

Truck size & style?

149 raws baby.

East coast vs. west?

Both have their perks, but I think the East Coast will always feel like home. My family is there, so it’s nice to go visit. Also, the bagels & Italian food is better back East. But man, Long Beach has really been growing on me.

Biggest fear?

Sharks ahahah.

What’s next?

I’m filming for the next New Balance video as well as another April project & going to keep making some music too!
